Government Of Canada Introduces Canada Service Corps – Volunteer Opportunities For Up To 20,000 Youth

The Government of Canada is taking a significant step to empower youth and create opportunities for them to build meaningful skills and experiences through the Canada Service Corps (CSC). With an investment of approximately $200 million, 85 projects will be funded, benefiting up to 20,000 youth aged 12 to 30 over the next three years.

This initiative is designed to support young Canadians, including those from Indigenous and underserved populations, by offering volunteer service opportunities centered on reconciliation, inclusivity, environmental preservation, civic engagement, and community resilience.

The CSC enables youth to practice leadership, develop new skills, and expand their professional and personal networks. Through community-focused volunteer service opportunities, participants can:

Since its inception in 2018, CSC has facilitated over 52,000 volunteer opportunities, with more than 40,000 service placements and 10,000 youth-led micro-grant projects.
